Canyon was founded in 1990. Today Canyon comprises Canyon Partners, LLC, Canyon Capital Advisors LLC, Canyon Partners Real Estate LLC (formerly known as Canyon Capital Realty Advisors LLC), Canyon CLO Advisors LP and River Canyon Fund Management LLC.
Canyon Partners is the employing entity associated with Canyon Capital Advisors, Canyon Partners Real Estate and River Canyon Fund Management. Canyon Capital Advisors, Canyon CLO Advisors, Canyon Partners Real Estate and River Canyon Fund Management are registered as investment advisers with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”). Canyon Capital Management, L.P. was the predecessor investment adviser to Canyon Capital Advisors and Canyon Partners Real Estate and registered with the SEC in 1994. River Canyon Fund Management and Canyon CLO advisors are affiliates of Canyon Capital Advisors and provide specialized investment advisory services. Canyon Capital Advisors (Europe) Ltd., an affiliate of Canyon Capital Advisors, is registered with the United Kingdom Financial Conduct Authority.
