Robert Herin

Robert Herin is a Partner and Canyon’s Chief Information Officer. Mr. Herin joined Canyon in 2015 and oversees a team responsible for all aspects of information technology strategy and management, software applications, risk analytics, data management, and core information technology infrastructure and support. Prior to joining Canyon, Mr. Herin worked at Apollo Global Management as a Managing Director and Global Head of Technology. Previously, he held positions at the Baupost Group and Drake Management. Earlier in his career, he was Co-Head of the Aladdin Front-End Software Development team for BlackRock and Head of Software Development for PIMCO. Mr. Herin graduated from UCLA (B.S., Applied Mathematics), and UC Irvine (M.B.A.). Mr. Herin is a CFA® Charterholder and a Certified Financial Risk Manager.
