Sonya Seo Yun Kim

Sonya Seoyun Kim is a Senior Vice President within the Investment team at Canyon.  Ms. Kim joined Canyon in 2018 and primarily focuses on public and private debt and equity special situations in Asia. Prior to joining Canyon, Ms. Kim worked at Auroville Investment Management, where she focused on equity investments across the gaming, hardware, technology, and telecom industries in Asia Pacific. Previously, Ms. Kim worked at York Capital in Hong Kong, and MBK Partners investing in private equities. Ms. Kim began her career as an Investment Banker at Goldman Sachs in South Korea. Ms. Kim is a graduate of Seoul National University (B.A., Economics) and Harvard Business School (M.B.A).
